The 6th International Conference on Law, Social Science, Economics, and Education (ICLSSEE 2026)
Salatiga, April 25, 2026 — Borobudur University has once again reaffirmed its commitment to supporting research dissemination and strengthening academic collaboration by successfully serving as a host of an international online conference in partnership with the Meira Visi Persada (MVP) Foundation.
On this occasion, Borobudur University officially announced the implementation of The 6th International Conference on Law, Social Science, Economics, and Education (ICLSSEE 2026), which was held on Saturday, April 25, 2026. This international conference carried the main theme “Navigating Global Change: Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Sustainability,” highlighting the importance of global adaptation to increasingly complex social, legal, economic, and educational changes. The event successfully attracted more than 200 participants from various universities around the world.
The conference opened with a Welcoming Speech delivered by Dr. (c) Meida Rachmawati, SE., MM., MH., PhD (Lecturer & Practitioner, Indonesia), who emphasized the importance of international academic forums as platforms for exchanging ideas and strengthening cross-border academic networks. The program continued with an Opening Speech from Prof. Dr. H. Faisal Santiago, SH., MM, Director of the Postgraduate Program at Borobudur University Jakarta, as well as Prof. Ir. H. Bambang Bernanthos, M.Sc, Rector of Borobudur University Jakarta.
The event became even more engaging with the presence of keynote speakers from both national and international institutions, including:
- Dr. Ir. Indra Iskandar, M.Si., M.Pd., I.Kom (Secretary General of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia / DPR-RI)
- Prof. Gary I. Lilienthal, Ph.D. (NALSAR University of Law, India)
Each keynote presentation was followed by an interactive Q&A session, allowing participants to engage directly and encouraging dynamic discussions. In addition, the conference featured other international and national speakers, such as:

- Akhmad Safik, SE,MH, LLM (Vice Dean Faculty of Law, University of Al Azhar Indonesia)
- Dr. Rowena A. Pila (Rizal Technological University, Philippines)
- Suma Parahakaran, Ph.D (INTI International University, Malaysia)
- Prof. Dr. Hardani Widhiasututi, M.M., Psychologist (University of Semarang, Indonesia)
- Dr. Roma Nova Cahyati Poetry, S.E., M.AB (Borobudur University, Indonesia)
Each session was accompanied by discussions guided by moderators, emphasizing the importance of active participation and knowledge exchange among attendees. After the main session concluded, participants were given a 40-minute break before continuing to the Parallel Sessions, where they presented their research papers in smaller groups through breakout rooms.
The implementation of ICLSSEE 2026 ran smoothly and received positive feedback from participants. The wide range of topics discussed reflected the growing urgency of issues related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and sustainability in today’s global context. With the success achieved this year, Borobudur University and its partners hope to continue organizing larger and more impactful conferences in the future, as a meaningful contribution to the advancement of global knowledge and broader societal benefit.
