Jakarta, October 25, 2025 — The Postgraduate Program of Universitas Borobudur, in collaboration with the Meira Visi Persada Foundation (MVP), successfully held an International Conference under the theme “Transforming Governance through Interdisciplinary Synergy for Global Welfare.”
The prestigious event was attended by more than 160 participants from various backgrounds, including academics, researchers, professionals, and postgraduate students.
In his opening remarks, Prof. Dr. H. Faisal Santiago, S.H., M.M., Director of the Postgraduate Program at Universitas Borobudur, emphasized that this international conference is a regular academic agenda held every semester, reflecting the university’s commitment to continuous academic excellence and global engagement.
“This event was made possible through collaboration between the Postgraduate Program of Universitas Borobudur, the Meira Visi Persada Foundation led by Meida Rachmawati, M.M., M.H., Ph.D., and several international journal publishers. Its main goal is to broaden participants’ global perspectives and knowledge, especially for postgraduate students,” said Prof. Faisal.
Meanwhile, Prof. Bambang Bernanthos, Rector of Universitas Borobudur, stated that the conference serves as a strategic platform for knowledge transfer across nations and disciplines.
“Students must develop cross-border and interdisciplinary thinking while fostering international collaboration. This conference is a vital momentum for strengthening academic capacity toward global standards,” he remarked.
The conference featured distinguished speakers from various countries, including Brazil, Peru, Russia, India, Malaysia, as well as from Universitas Borobudur itself, represented by Dr. KMS Herman, S.H., M.H.
The presence of these international experts underscores Universitas Borobudur’s strong commitment to producing globally competitive graduates.
Prof. Faisal further explained that this activity represents the university’s academic responsibility to nurture a strong research culture among students.
“All postgraduate students are required to submit and present their academic papers. Selected papers will be published in reputable international journals,” he noted.
Since 2015, the Postgraduate Program of Universitas Borobudur has implemented strict academic standards, requiring each student to have two internationally published scientific papers as a prerequisite for examination and graduation. According to Prof. Faisal, this policy demonstrates the university’s dedication to maintaining academic integrity and excellence.
In closing, Prof. Faisal reaffirmed that the International Conference will continue to be held every semester, both within Universitas Borobudur and through collaborations with foreign universities.
