Conference Overview and Theme

Universitas Borobudur has once again demonstrated its commitment to the dissemination of research and scholarly work through the successful collaboration between its Graduate Program and CV. Nusantara Training and Research (NTR) in organizing an international online conference. This initiative underscores the importance of international seminars in enhancing academic discourse and productivity, ultimately benefiting Indonesian society. In alignment with these efforts, we are proud to announce the “4th International Conference on Law, Social Science, Economics, and Education (ICLSSEE 2024),” held on Saturday, May 25, 2024.

This year’s conference, themed Sustainable Innovation in The Digital World: Risk, Resilience, and Prospect, aimed to seek solutions and answers related to current global issues and trends. The event successfully attracted a total of 171 participants from various universities, marking the continued relevance and impact of this conference.

Opening Ceremony and Main Session

The seminar’s opening ceremony was conducted by the Moderator from CV. Nusantara Training and Research, who led the prayer and welcomed attendees. This was followed by a welcoming speech from the Director of CV. Nusantara Training and Research, Mrs. Meida Rachmawati, MH., MM., Ph.D., and the singing of Indonesia’s national anthem, “Indonesia Raya.” Subsequently, the Rector of Universitas Borobudur, Prof. Ir. The International Conference (ICLSSEE 2024) was conducted through the Zoom Online platform, allowing participants to join from any location. The decision to use this platform proved ideal, enabling the inclusion of speakers from the United Kingdom, Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, and the Philippines, thus facilitating an international exchange of ideas among academics from various countries.

During the “Main Session,” the event commenced with introductions by both CVs. Nusantara Training and Research (NTR) and Universitas Borobudur. The session featured presentations by Keynote Speakers, starting with a lecturer from the University of Salford, UK, specializing in Digital Forensics, Cybersecurity, Network Infrastructure Design, and Cybercrime Investigation. The second Keynote Speaker, Dr. Tina Amelia, S.H., M.H., CLA., stepped in for Prof. Dr. Zudan Arif Fakrulloh, S.H., M.H., from Universitas Borobudur Jakarta, who was unable to attend due to prior commitments. Following their presentations, the Moderator facilitated a Q&A session, engaging the participants in a lively discussion.

After the Keynote Speakers’ presentations, the session continued with contributions from speakers representing different countries and fields. Dr. Muhammad Anshari from Universiti Brunei Darussalam (Brunei Darussalam) and Dr. Nor Erlissa Abd Aziz from Universiti Teknologi MARA (Malaysia) delivered their insights, followed by another Q&A session moderated to encourage participant interaction. Further presentations included Dr. Ida Gauran-Tudy from Cor Jesu College, Philippines, and Dr. Jonathan Rante Carreon from Huachiew Chalermprakiet University, Thailand. The final speaker, Brigjen. Dr. Indarto, S.H., S.Sos., S.I.K., M.Si., Director of the Graduate Program at Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Kepolisian, Indonesia, shared his material via video due to unavoidable commitments, with a subsequent Q&A session highlighting high participant enthusiasm and active discussion.

Parallel Sessions and Conclusion

Following the conclusion of the “Main Session,” a 30-minute break was provided before participants proceeded to the “Parallel Session.” During this segment, participants presented their articles or proceedings in smaller groups, with at least eight groups per session. The first session comprised groups 1A to 1H, while the second session included groups 2A to 2H. The objective of the “Parallel Session” was to foster in-depth discussions on the presented materials, offering new and valuable insights to all involved participants.

This event can be concluded to have been successfully conducted without any significant issues and was executed in a timely manner. The next step is the publication process, which is expected to be completed according to the established timeline.

With the hope of contributing to the world of research and benefiting society at large, the spirit of ICLSSEE 2024 will serve as the foundation for future ICLSSEE conferences.
