The MVP Webinar Series on Technology for English Language Learning was successfully conducted, bringing together 20 participants from diverse backgrounds, including students of English language programs, teachers, practitioners, and the general public. The event commenced with an opening speech by Meida Rachmawati, S.E., M.M., Ph.D., the Chairperson of the Meira Visi Persada Foundation. She set the tone for the day’s sessions, emphasizing the importance of technology in modern education.

Session 1: Technology for Young Learners.

The first session was led by Kiki Kurniawati, S.Pd., the curriculum coordinator and an English teacher at Bethany Elementary School. Ms. Kurniawati shared her insights on the transformative role of technology in children’s English learning. She highlighted the importance of integrating technology into teaching to enhance learning experiences and outcomes. Following her discussion, Ms. Kurniawati provided a practical demonstration of various educational applications such as Wordwall, Quizizz, ChatGPT, Tinytap, and Suno, showcasing their utility in English language learning.

Session 2: Technology for Adult Learners.

The second session featured Muhammad Sulhan, M.Pd., a lecturer at Universitas Indraprasta PGRI. Mr. Sulhan spoke about the significance of learning English, motivating attendees to overcome their fear of learning the language. He also introduced several effective applications for adult learners to improve their English skills.

Q&A Session

The event concluded with an engaging Q&A session where participants asked questions about using educational applications, boosting confidence, and methods to enhance speaking skills through technology. The interactive session provided valuable insights and practical advice, leaving participants better equipped to leverage technology in their English learning journey.
